New Delhi, January 17: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to Ashutosh Bhardwaj, accused in a case related to dragging a woman for nearly 12 km from Sultanpuri area of the national capital to Kanjhawala after her car rammed her scooty.
Additional Sessions Judge Sushil Bala Dagar had on Monday reserved his order on Bhardwaj’s bail. “The accused is granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000,” the judge said on Tuesday. The judge, in oral remarks, said Bhardwaj’s role began after the crime was committed. Detailed order in the matter is awaited. Also read: Karnataka: Shop owner acquitted in Kanakapura blast case
Anjali Singh (20) was hit by a car on the late night of December 31, after which she dragged her for a long distance. He had died in this incident.
