14-year-old Anahata named in India’s squash squad for 2022 Commonwealth Games

The 14-year-old is the youngest squash player to represent India in any major sport. She will be one of the youngest in the entire Indian contingent through all the subjects.

This Delhi teenager scored sensational runs at the under-15 level. She won the US Open in December last year. Most recently she won the Asian Junior title in June and also won the German and Dutch Junior Open in July.

She will join the women’s team along with Joshna Chinappa, Dipika Pallikal and Sunaina Kuruvilla. The men’s team consists of Saurav Ghoshal, Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu and Velavan Senthilkumar.
