2nd T20I: Captain Rohit praises Jadeja for his brilliant innings under pressure

Jadeja’s fighting innings (46 not out on 29) was followed by a clinical bowling effort that propelled India to an impressive 49-run win over England in the second T20I and an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Rohit said after the match, “Great innings under pressure. We wanted someone to bat and get us the score, Jadeja had scored a century here and he went on from there. He was calm and finished it well till the end.” ” Presentation.

Rohit also highlighted that India are looking forward to winning both the power plays (with bat and ball) and is glad that it went well on Saturday.

While Rohit and Pant dominated with the bat, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was declared player of the match, shone again with the new ball, taking big wickets of Jos Buttler and Jason Roy and ending with figures of 3/15.

“We understand the importance of the powerplay, whether we bat or bowl. Our powerplays in both the games were great and I want to give people the confidence to continue.

“We want to give some chances to the people on the bench and discuss it with the coach. We are moving in the right direction and the only red flag I see is that we can’t get carried away,” he said.
