Germany, Hungary level in the UEFA Nations League

The Hungarian side took the lead in the sixth minute on Saturday night with a quick goal from defender Zsolt Negi, but it took the Germans only three minutes to respond thanks to a strike from midfielder Jonas Hoffmann.

The initial set score remained unchanged as Hungary, who had won a surprise win against England the week before, was not intimidated by Manshaft and kept on attacking, but the Germans always held back.

With Saturday’s tie, Germany extended their unbeaten streak to 12 matches, led by Hansi Flick, since last year’s European Championships, although the latest four ended in a draw.

Hungarian fans, however, were celebrating a draw with strong opponents as their team, coached by Italian coach Marco Rossi, placed second in the group before meeting England for a rematch in Wolverhampton the following Tuesday.
