Motivate children to play outdoor sports, suggests Ashok Dhyan Chand

He said that every child should be aware of the benefits of playing sports.

Ashok Dhyan Chand emphasized that children now spend most of their time on TV and mobile phones instead of playing outdoor games.

“Today I want to ask all the parents to motivate their children to stay away from mobile phones and TV and play outdoor games. Make the child aware of the virtues of sports so that the child can develop physically and mentally. From the very beginning children should be given sports related text material, and then children will definitely participate in the games with great enthusiasm.” Wednesday.

Another former hockey great Zafar Iqbal said that it is important for children to play as much as they read.

“Instead of just stressing on studies, lay emphasis on playing along with studies,” he said.

Zafar Iqbal said that various important proposals were discussed in the sports meeting.

“The Central Government and the State Governments should take concrete steps on the suggestions received in each proposal. At the same time, it has also been observed that the talent of sports does not come out in the tribal areas as they lack resources and do not promote idols. For this, the government should go to the tribal areas and promote sports culture and develop a system that brings out the talent of the tribal areas.

Addressing the gathering, Sports Research Center IMT Dr. Kanishk Pandey said that the assembly will send some proposals to the government to promote sports.

He said that the consensus that has been reached should be sent to the Central Government and the State Governments and it should be requested that some concrete action should be taken on the proposal sent by the Government.

During this, Speaker Vishal Talwar told that IMT Ghaziabad has been working for the development of sports culture for the last many years.
