Sumaiya’s hat-trick helped Maharashtra win 6-0; Bihar, Orissa, Delhi win

Maharashtra’s opportunistic goal-scorer Sumaiya scored Tripura’s goal in the 14th minute with her first strike. The Tripura girls fought brilliantly and defended well to restrict WIFA to a 1-0 half-time advantage.

However, after the switching ended, WIFA broke the Tripura resistance, scoring five times during the second session. Sumaiya completed the second in the 56th minute and a hat-trick in the 75th minute. Between these two goals, Poorva Gaikwad added the third goal in the 69th minute, while Ritika Singh scored the fourth goal in the 71st minute.
