Snap to suspend development of its Pixi drone camera: report

As The Verge reports, Snap CEO Evan Spiegel spoke to employees in a Q&A session about the option of not developing the Pixie line.

A source told the publication that the company plans to sell the current Pixie, and that model is still available for purchase on the Pixie website.

The report mentions that, in an interview, Spiegel had teased that the company might be considering a second iteration.

“The goal is to really get it into people’s hands and have them play with it,” he was quoted as saying.

“And maybe we’ll do more with version two if people like the original product,” it added.

Pixie is said to be a pocket-sized tool and can help you create better content.

At launch in April, Snap claimed that the drone camera can automatically crop in portraits and apply quick smart edits like HyperSpeed, Bounce, Orbit 3D and Jump Cut. And then, users can share it on Chat, Stories, Spotlight or any other platform.
