Milevina Dean was 97 years old when she passed away. He died on 31 May 2009. Over the years, Dean has participated in numerous conferences, exhibitions, documentaries, radio and television interviews, and personal correspondence. In 1997, Milvina and several members of the Titanic Historical Society set sail for New York aboard Queen Elizabeth 2 State. Dean traveled to Kansas City several days later. Many of his uncle’s neighbors met him for the first time. How did Milvina Dean die?
On the morning of 31 May 2009, 97 years and seven weeks after Titanic, Dean died of pneumonia at a country care home in Ashhurst, Hampshire. He died on 24 October 2009, his ashes scattered from a launch at the dock at Southampton Hall where Titanic had departed. Since October 2007, Millvina was the last Titanic survivor, following the death of Barbara West Denton at the age of 96 in England.
